Amazing Spanish Singers

There are some amazing Spanish singers who are around today. Some of these singers have made a noticeable impact internationally. Not all singers who sing in Spanish are from Spain. Enrique Martín Morales, better known as Ricky Martin has made a very big impact in America. He actually started his career as a child in a boy pop group called Menudo. After this time he went solo and produced albums singing in Spanish. He comes from Puerto Rico and has also made a big impact singing in English as well as Spanish.

Equally famous in America is Enrique Iglesias who was born in Spain. He is considered to be a major Latin pop singer. Similarly to Ricky Martin, Enrique made a very large impact in the American market. He has had several music hits and gained even more fame and success after also producing songs in English.

Another singer who was born in Spain is Alejandro Sanz, who has had the greatest success commercially of all Spanish music artists. He entered the US market in the 2000s which greatly increased his success. Camilo Blanes Cortés who has the stage name Camilo Sesto, is from Spain. He is a songwriter, composer and singer. He was active from the 1960s right up until 2010 when he gave his last two concerts. He has written and composed the vast majority of his songs. This amazing musician has sold over 175 million albums around the world.

Luis Alfonso Rodríguez López-Cepero is from Puerto Rico. He made the eleventh position in the Billboard Top Latin Albums with his very first album. His career has skyrocketed with later collaborations with such stars as Justin Bieber only adding to his fame. Joseph Maria Carreras i Coll is also known as José Carreras is a Spanish tenor. He has performed in operas of both Puccini and Verdi. He became even more famous when he teamed up with Luciano Pavarotti and Plácido Domingo for concerts where they became known as the three tenors. There have also been some amazing Spanish woman singers, for example, Gloria Estafan. This Cuban-American singer has won seven Grammy awards and Kennedy Center Honors. Like Enrique and Ricky Martin, she became more famous once she started also singing in English.

Marta Sánchez López was born in La CoruñaSpain. She is widely regarded as the Queen of Spanish Pop music. This singer and guitar player has been working since 1985 and is still productive to this day. Isabel Pantoja is also a singer who was born in the area of Seville in Spain. She is also referred to as La Pantoja. She has been active in her career for many years. She brought back enthusiasm for the Spanish type music genre that is known as Copla. She has toured internationally visiting and performing in Latin American countries where she has a strong following.

There are many amazing Spanish singers still active today in different music genre from traditional Spanish music to Opera and Pop.
